# iAquaLink vs Lake Effects

The clearest difference is monetization model: Lake Effects at free against iAquaLink's free with in-app purchases. Lake Effects also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.2). iAquaLink's advantage is ratings volume (101K vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lake Effects holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iAquaLink has 101K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
