# Visual Calendar vs Lily pad

The clearest difference is price: Lily pad at Free against Visual Calendar's $0.99. Lily pad also leads on rating (3.7 vs 2.6) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months). Visual Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.1). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Lily pad is free to download; Visual Calendar costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Lily pad holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 3 respectively.
