# Repeat Timer vs Repeat Timer App

The clearest difference is rating: Repeat Timer at 4.1 against Repeat Timer App's 3.5. Repeat Timer also leads on ratings volume (543 vs 30). Repeat Timer App's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Repeat Timer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Repeat Timer App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Repeat Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Repeat Timer has 543 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Repeat Timer's written reviews are positive against 50% of Repeat Timer App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
