The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Freethought TV at none against Mango Languages's 4. Freethought TV also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Mango Languages's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (44K vs 14). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mango Languages sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $13.99 per month. Freethought TV asks for nothing beyond the download.
