# Measure Map Pro vs Map Locations

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Measure Map Pro at 841 against Map Locations's 105. Map Locations's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Measure Map Pro sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Map Locations sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Measure Map Pro against 4.6 for Map Locations. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Measure Map Pro has 841 ratings behind it against 105, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of Measure Map Pro's written reviews are positive against 75% of Map Locations's.

Measure Map Pro ships an update every 2 months, Map Locations every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
