# Measure Map Pro vs DistancePinner

The clearest difference is ads: Measure Map Pro at none against DistancePinner's shown. Measure Map Pro also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 63%) and ratings volume (841 vs 269). DistancePinner's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Measure Map Pro sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and DistancePinner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DistancePinner holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 841 and 269 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Measure Map Pro's written reviews are positive against 63% of DistancePinner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Measure Map Pro ships an update every 2 months, DistancePinner fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
