# FT中文网 vs VOA

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VOA at none against FT中文网's 10. VOA also leads on review sentiment (76% vs 44%). FT中文网's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FT中文网 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. VOA asks for nothing beyond the download.

FT中文网 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.6K and 731 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of FT中文网's written reviews are positive against 76% of VOA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FT中文网 ships an update every 8 days, VOA every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
