# FT中文网 vs Cnbeta

FT中文网 and Cnbeta both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 93% of Cnbeta's written reviews are positive against 44% of FT中文网's. Cnbeta also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). FT中文网's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FT中文网 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Cnbeta sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for FT中文网 against 4.7 for Cnbeta. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FT中文网 has 1.6K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of FT中文网's written reviews are positive against 93% of Cnbeta's.

FT中文网 ships an update weekly, Cnbeta every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
