# 4shared Mobile vs QR Reader

The clearest difference is rating: QR Reader at 5.0 against 4shared Mobile's 4.5. QR Reader also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (71% vs 54%). 4shared Mobile's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 4shared Mobile sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and QR Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QR Reader holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 4shared Mobile has 1.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of 4shared Mobile's written reviews are positive against 71% of QR Reader's.

4shared Mobile ships an update every 2 months, QR Reader weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
