# 4shared Mobile vs DB

4shared Mobile and DB both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 54% of 4shared Mobile's written reviews are positive against 4% of DB's. 4shared Mobile also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 33) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). DB's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 4shared Mobile sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and DB sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for 4shared Mobile against 4.5 for DB. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 4shared Mobile has 1.1K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of 4shared Mobile's written reviews are positive against 4% of DB's.

4shared Mobile ships an update every 2 months, DB every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
