# Templates for Pages vs Craft

The clearest difference is monetization model: Craft at free with in-app purchases against Templates for Pages's subscription. Craft also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Templates for Pages's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Templates for Pages sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Craft sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Craft holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Craft has 6.6K ratings behind it against 121, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 63% of Templates for Pages's written reviews are positive against 85% of Craft's.

Templates for Pages ships an update every 3 months, Craft every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
