# FaceClock Calendar vs SClock

The clearest difference is ads: FaceClock Calendar at none against SClock's shown. SClock's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and rating (4.3 vs 4.1). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FaceClock Calendar sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and SClock sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SClock holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 32 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of FaceClock Calendar's written reviews are positive against 50% of SClock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FaceClock Calendar ships an update every 3 months, SClock fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
