# A Solar System Journey vs Solar System

The clearest difference is rating: A Solar System Journey at 4.5 against Solar System's 3.8. A Solar System Journey also leads on update cadence (every 6 months vs every 107 months) and ratings volume (437 vs 32). Solar System's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 25%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

A Solar System Journey holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: A Solar System Journey has 437 ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of A Solar System Journey's written reviews are positive against 67% of Solar System's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

A Solar System Journey ships an update every 6 months, Solar System every 107 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
