# QQ vs avant regard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: avant regard at 100% against QQ's 18%. avant regard also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.7) and ads (none vs shown). QQ's advantage is ratings volume (9K vs 3) and chart position (#73 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QQ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and avant regard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

avant regard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QQ has 9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 18% of QQ's written reviews are positive against 100% of avant regard's.

QQ ships an update every 9 days, avant regard weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
