# Paint Gallery vs Focus

The clearest difference is ads: Focus at none against Paint Gallery's shown. Focus also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Paint Gallery's advantage is ratings volume (69 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paint Gallery sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Focus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paint Gallery has 69 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Paint Gallery ships an update every 2 months, Focus weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
