# Michaels Stores vs SmartCustomer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SmartCustomer at 67% against Michaels Stores's 7%. Michaels Stores's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (271K vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Michaels Stores holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Michaels Stores has 271K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of Michaels Stores's written reviews are positive against 67% of SmartCustomer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Michaels Stores ships an update every 2 weeks, SmartCustomer monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
