# Magical Rays vs Ramen Soup Simulator

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Magical Rays at 206 against Ramen Soup Simulator's 8. Magical Rays also leads on update cadence (every 8 months vs every 22 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Magical Rays holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Magical Rays has 206 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Magical Rays's written reviews are positive against 85% of Ramen Soup Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magical Rays ships an update every 8 months, Ramen Soup Simulator every 22 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
