# NetGuard vs AR WiFi&5G

The clearest difference is rating: AR WiFi&5G at 3.5 against NetGuard's 2.8. AR WiFi&5G also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (23 vs 4). NetGuard's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AR WiFi&5G sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. NetGuard asks for nothing beyond the download.

AR WiFi&5G holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AR WiFi&5G has 23 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of NetGuard's written reviews are positive against 38% of AR WiFi&5G's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NetGuard ships an update every 3 months, AR WiFi&5G every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
