# READING MAGIC 3 vs WordsTrain

The clearest difference is rating: READING MAGIC 3 at 4.9 against WordsTrain's 4.4. WordsTrain's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 22 months) and ratings volume (114 vs 16). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. READING MAGIC 3 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and WordsTrain sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

READING MAGIC 3 holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WordsTrain has 114 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of READING MAGIC 3's written reviews are positive against 97% of WordsTrain's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

READING MAGIC 3 ships an update every 22 months, WordsTrain monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
