# Pro Band vs DrumToolz

The clearest difference is rating: DrumToolz at 4.2 against Pro Band's 2.9. DrumToolz also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ratings volume (270 vs 34). Pro Band's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Band sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. DrumToolz asks for nothing beyond the download.

DrumToolz holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DrumToolz has 270 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Pro Band's written reviews are positive against 58% of DrumToolz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pro Band ships an update every 2 months, DrumToolz monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
