# Pro Band vs Jam

The clearest difference is rating: Jam at 4.8 against Pro Band's 2.9. Pro Band's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (34 vs 6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Band sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Jam sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jam holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Band has 34 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
