# Virtual Keypad vs Venstar Skyport

The clearest difference is rating: Venstar Skyport at 4.6 against Virtual Keypad's 4.3. Virtual Keypad's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (13K vs 4.2K). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Venstar Skyport holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13K and 4.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Virtual Keypad's written reviews are positive against 60% of Venstar Skyport's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Virtual Keypad ships an update fortnightly, Venstar Skyport every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
