# Virtual Keypad vs Johnson Controls Security Mngt

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Virtual Keypad at 66% against Johnson Controls Security Mngt's 4%. Virtual Keypad also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Johnson Controls Security Mngt's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Johnson Controls Security Mngt holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Virtual Keypad has 13K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Virtual Keypad's written reviews are positive against 4% of Johnson Controls Security Mngt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
