# Draw vs Calctan

The clearest difference is rating: Calctan at 4.5 against Draw's 2.2. Calctan also leads on ratings volume (61 vs 5). Draw's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Draw sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Calctan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calctan holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calctan has 61 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 26% of Draw's written reviews are positive against 29% of Calctan's.

Draw ships an update every 6 weeks, Calctan every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
