# The Flight Computer Teacher vs Airmate

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Airmate at 75% against The Flight Computer Teacher's 7%. Airmate also leads on ratings volume (545 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). The Flight Computer Teacher's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Flight Computer Teacher sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Airmate sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Flight Computer Teacher holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Airmate has 545 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of The Flight Computer Teacher's written reviews are positive against 75% of Airmate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

The Flight Computer Teacher ships an update monthly, Airmate every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
