# Paragliding Map vs Ferrata Guide

The clearest difference is ads: Paragliding Map at none against Ferrata Guide's shown. Paragliding Map also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 47%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). Ferrata Guide's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.3 vs 4.1). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paragliding Map sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Ferrata Guide sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $17.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ferrata Guide holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 50 and 23 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Paragliding Map's written reviews are positive against 47% of Ferrata Guide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Paragliding Map ships an update every 2 months, Ferrata Guide every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
