# RTP Notícias vs Observador

The clearest difference is rating: Observador at 4.0 against RTP Notícias's 3.2. Observador also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). RTP Notícias's advantage is review sentiment (52% vs 10%) and in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Observador sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. RTP Notícias asks for nothing beyond the download.

Observador holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of RTP Notícias's written reviews are positive against 10% of Observador's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RTP Notícias ships an update every 4 months, Observador every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
