# Time vs Timelapse Camera

The clearest difference is rating: Timelapse Camera at 3.6 against Time's 1.9. Timelapse Camera also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Time's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). On price and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timelapse Camera sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Time asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timelapse Camera holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 1.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Time's written reviews are positive against 27% of Timelapse Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Time ships an update every 2 months, Timelapse Camera weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
