# Shkabaj vs KOHA

The clearest difference is rating: KOHA at 5.0 against Shkabaj's 4.3. KOHA also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). Shkabaj's advantage is ratings volume (35 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KOHA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shkabaj has 35 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shkabaj ships an update every 3 months, KOHA every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
