# TheSurfNetwork vs Rogue.TV

The clearest difference is monetization model: Rogue.TV at free with in-app purchases against TheSurfNetwork's subscription. Rogue.TV also leads on review sentiment (88% vs 75%). TheSurfNetwork's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (528 vs 22). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TheSurfNetwork sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Rogue.TV sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TheSurfNetwork holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TheSurfNetwork has 528 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of TheSurfNetwork's written reviews are positive against 88% of Rogue.TV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TheSurfNetwork ships an update every 2 months, Rogue.TV monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
