# Uncrate vs ALPAKA

The clearest difference is ads: Uncrate at none against ALPAKA's shown. Uncrate also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (11K vs 780). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Uncrate against 4.9 for ALPAKA. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Uncrate has 11K ratings behind it against 780, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Uncrate's written reviews are positive against 59% of ALPAKA's.

Uncrate ships an update every 2 weeks, ALPAKA fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
