# RunPee vs SummerProof

The clearest difference is rating: RunPee at 4.7 against SummerProof's 4.0. RunPee also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (479 vs 3). SummerProof's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RunPee sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and SummerProof sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RunPee holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RunPee has 479 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of RunPee's written reviews are positive against 100% of SummerProof's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RunPee ships an update every 2 months, SummerProof every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
