# Prayer Notes vs Praythru

The clearest difference is ads: Praythru at none against Prayer Notes's shown. Praythru also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 74%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). Prayer Notes's advantage is ratings volume (3.8K vs 8) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prayer Notes sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Praythru sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Prayer Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prayer Notes has 3.8K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Prayer Notes's written reviews are positive against 100% of Praythru's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Prayer Notes ships an update every 2 months, Praythru every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
