# Alarm Clock ◎ vs FlipClock

The clearest difference is rating: Alarm Clock ◎ at 4.5 against FlipClock's 4.0. Alarm Clock ◎ also leads on ratings volume (3.5K vs 6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). FlipClock's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and review sentiment (82% vs 60%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarm Clock ◎ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. FlipClock asks for nothing beyond the download.

Alarm Clock ◎ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alarm Clock ◎ has 3.5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Alarm Clock ◎'s written reviews are positive against 82% of FlipClock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarm Clock ◎ ships an update fortnightly, FlipClock every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
