# Alarm Clock ◎ vs 12Calendar

The clearest difference is rating: Alarm Clock ◎ at 4.5 against 12Calendar's 3.2. Alarm Clock ◎ also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (3.5K vs 11). 12Calendar's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarm Clock ◎ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and 12Calendar sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Alarm Clock ◎ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alarm Clock ◎ has 3.5K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Alarm Clock ◎'s written reviews are positive against 62% of 12Calendar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarm Clock ◎ ships an update fortnightly, 12Calendar every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
