# Flashlight.® vs Duet Display

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flashlight.® at 84% against Duet Display's 45%. Flashlight.® also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). Duet Display's advantage is ratings volume (49K vs 466) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Duet Display sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Flashlight.® asks for nothing beyond the download.

Duet Display holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Duet Display has 49K ratings behind it against 466, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Flashlight.®'s written reviews are positive against 45% of Duet Display's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
