# NVM vs RTL

The clearest difference is rating: RTL at 4.6 against NVM's 3.7. RTL also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ratings volume (94 vs 7). NVM's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 45%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NVM sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. RTL asks for nothing beyond the download.

RTL holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RTL has 94 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of NVM's written reviews are positive against 45% of RTL's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NVM ships an update every 3 weeks, RTL monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
