# Hearts + vs Hearts

The clearest difference is price: Hearts at Free against Hearts +'s $9.99. Hearts also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (174 vs 4). Hearts +'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#155 vs unranked). On update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Hearts is free to download; Hearts + costs $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hearts holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hearts has 174 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Hearts +'s written reviews are positive against 65% of Hearts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hearts + ships an update every 4 months, Hearts every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
