# Daydream Doodler vs Magic Paint

The clearest difference is update cadence: Magic Paint at every 10 days against Daydream Doodler's every 3 months. Daydream Doodler's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daydream Doodler sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Magic Paint sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Daydream Doodler ships an update every 3 months, Magic Paint every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
