# OpenDrive vs Sync

The clearest difference is rating: OpenDrive at 4.7 against Sync's 3.7. OpenDrive also leads on ads (none vs shown). Sync's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 15%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OpenDrive sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Sync sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OpenDrive holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 43 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of OpenDrive's written reviews are positive against 50% of Sync's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
