# OpenDrive vs Cloud Drive Client

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Cloud Drive Client at none against OpenDrive's 3. Cloud Drive Client also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 15%). OpenDrive's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (43 vs 7). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OpenDrive sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Cloud Drive Client asks for nothing beyond the download.

OpenDrive holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OpenDrive has 43 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of OpenDrive's written reviews are positive against 50% of Cloud Drive Client's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OpenDrive ships an update every 2 months, Cloud Drive Client every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
