# ORF ON vs TV

The clearest difference is ads: TV at none against ORF ON's shown. TV also leads on iOS requirement (10.3 vs 15.0). ORF ON's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ORF ON ships an update every 2 months, TV every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
