# Mountain Project vs Camparator

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mountain Project at every 3 weeks against Camparator's every 7 months. Mountain Project also leads on ratings volume (4.6K vs 4) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Camparator's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 36%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mountain Project holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mountain Project has 4.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Mountain Project's written reviews are positive against 50% of Camparator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mountain Project ships an update every 3 weeks, Camparator every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
