# BIMx vs PERI Extended Experience

The clearest difference is monetization model: PERI Extended Experience at free against BIMx's free with in-app purchases. BIMx's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (167 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BIMx holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BIMx has 167 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BIMx ships an update every 5 weeks, PERI Extended Experience every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
