# Digital Pan vs Flat

The clearest difference is price: Flat at Free against Digital Pan's $9.99. Flat also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (7K vs 195). Digital Pan's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.4). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Flat is free to download; Digital Pan costs $9.99 up front. Flat sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Digital Pan asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flat holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flat has 7K ratings behind it against 195, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Digital Pan's written reviews are positive against 68% of Flat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Digital Pan ships an update every 6 weeks, Flat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
