# Digital Pan vs Newzik

The clearest difference is price: Newzik at Free against Digital Pan's $9.99. Newzik also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Digital Pan's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and chart position (#182 vs unranked). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Newzik is free to download; Digital Pan costs $9.99 up front. Newzik sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Digital Pan asks for nothing beyond the download.

Newzik holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Newzik has 1.6K ratings behind it against 195, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Digital Pan's written reviews are positive against 66% of Newzik's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Digital Pan ships an update every 6 weeks, Newzik every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
