# Piazza vs Tufts Mobile

The clearest difference is rating: Tufts Mobile at 4.4 against Piazza's 2.1. Piazza's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (279 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tufts Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Piazza has 279 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Piazza's written reviews are positive against 0% of Tufts Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Piazza ships an update every 11 days, Tufts Mobile every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
