# Piazza vs TartanConnect

The clearest difference is rating: TartanConnect at 4.0 against Piazza's 2.1. Piazza's advantage is ratings volume (282 vs 3) and review sentiment (14% vs 0%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TartanConnect holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Piazza has 282 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Piazza's written reviews are positive against 0% of TartanConnect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Piazza ships an update every 11 days, TartanConnect every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
