# Formula Nova vs Formula Racing Calendar

The clearest difference is rating: Formula Racing Calendar at 4.8 against Formula Nova's 3.4. Formula Racing Calendar also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Formula Nova's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 58%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formula Nova sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Formula Racing Calendar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Formula Racing Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 21 and 53 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Formula Nova's written reviews are positive against 58% of Formula Racing Calendar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Formula Nova ships an update every 5 months, Formula Racing Calendar every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
