# Equibase vs HIWU

The clearest difference is rating: HIWU at 5.0 against Equibase's 3.3. HIWU also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). Equibase's advantage is ratings volume (157 vs 3). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Equibase sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. HIWU asks for nothing beyond the download.

HIWU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Equibase has 157 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
